Russia’s National Association for the Revival of Historic Gardens & Parks, headed by Director Olga V. Taratynova of Tsarskoe Selo, held a live videoconference to discuss work after the quarantine measures are lifted.
The remote meeting was joined by 14 museums and heritage sites, estates and historic gardens: Tsarskoe Selo, Tsaritsino, Pavlovsk, Rostov Kremlin, Russian Museum, Arkhangelskoe, Ostafyevo—Russian Parnassus, Maryino, Alupka Palace and Park, Princess of Oldenburg Palace, Vladimir and Suzdal Museum, Kirov Central Park, Kolomenskoe-Izmailovo-Lyublino and Monrepos Park.
Directors Elizaveta Fokina of Tsaritsino and Alexander Balinchenko of Alupka shared their experience of receiving customers under health and safety precautions as their parks re-opened for visiting since June 1 and May 26 respectively.
Remote meetings like this will be run on a regular basis. The nearest goal is to discuss possible special tours to the museums participating in the Association.
