As they did last year, St Petersburg members of Lions Club International (LCI) graciously offered their help in clearing mowed grass from the lawns of the Alexander Park once again.

Established in Chicago in 1917, the international non-political service organization now has over 1.4 million members in local clubs throughout more than 200 countries all over the world.

This year's action in the Alexander Park was supported by the LCI members in St Petersburg, the Lions club Riona and the Leo club (LCI’s youth wing) White Nights.

The Lions are involved in lots of socially important programs, including environmental actions. Their motto is "We Serve".
