The nineteenth-century marble vase on a pedestal is back to the Maids-of-Honour Garden in the Catherine Park after a two-year restoration.

The oval bowl with relief ornaments of leaves and grapes underwent its previous restoration thirty six years ago and therefore desperately needed to be cleaned and "healed" from multiple cracks, chips an scratches.

Thirteen experts of the Nasledie restoration workshop worked on the vase after it was removed from its historical place near the Cameron Gallery in September 2020. They applied a whole array of restoration treatments, including a biocidal surface finish and a hidden frame added for better preservation.

The marble beauty is already covered for winter hibernation like all the other marble sculptures in the park.
