The Outdoor Winter Ice Rink is now open daily 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Triangle Square near the Catherine Palace's Zubov Wing. It is not large, but the gorgeous surroundings make it one of the most beautiful rinks in St Petersburg.

Admission: Rub 200 per hour for visitors under 7, Rub 300 per hour for other visitors

The  1000 square metre outdoor ice-skating facility offers: 

• a warm changing room
• skate rental (Rub 300 per hour for visitors under 7, Rub 400 per hour for other visitors)
• skating classes with instructors
• skate sharpening service for visitors bringing their own skates
• a winter cafe to rest after skating and have a snack
