President Vladimir Putin of Russia visited the exhibition The Poet & The Tsar which opened on the middle floor of the Cameron Gallery on 6 June to commemorate the 225th birth anniversary of Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

Supported by Russia's Ministry of Culture, the large-scale exhibition project is organised by Tsarskoe Selo and the National Pushkin Museum and portrays the relationships between the great poet and the Russian emperors Alexander I and Nicholas I.

The president accompanied by Russia's minister of culture Olga Lyubimova and St Petersburg's governor Alexander Beglov first had a tour of the Lyceum led by director Sergey Necrasov of the National Pushkin Museum and then a tour of our exhibition led by director Olga Taratynova of Tsarskoe Selo.
