Our museum's project The Private Space of Catherine II, dedicated to the reconstruction of the Private Rooms in the Zubov Wing of the Catherine Palace, wins a St Petersburg of the Future 2025 award in the Restoration of the Year (interior) nomination.

The eighth annual award by the Sobaka.Ru magazine gathered "professionals Petersburgers" at the Astoria Hotel in downtown St Petersburg on 14 February. The award nominations celebrated the best activists, architects, critics, designers, curators, restorers, urbanists, ecologists and developers, who modernize our city and whose projects and initiatives became the biggest and most important in 2024.

The trophy for our winning project was awarded to Director Olga Taratynova of Tsarskoe Selo, who sees this project finishing the restoration of the Catherine Palace's most important rooms destroyed in WWII as 'a victory of culture over barbarism, good over evil, hard but very important for the museum.'

On the stage Olga Taratynova was accompanied by Elena Davydova, General Director of Gazprom Cultural Initiatives Foundation. The project was made possible thanks to the financial support of Gazprom PJSC, the Russian state-owned multinational energy corporation headquartered in St Petersburg.
