Tsarskoe Selo together with the State Hermitage offer the exhibition At the Sovereign's Stirrup: Mounted Escorts of Russia from the 16th century to the present day, available 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday to Wednesday from 23 July to 18 October 2021 at the Cameron Gallery in the Catherine Park.

Commemorating the 210th anniversary of His Majesty's Own Cossack Escort, this very impressive eight-section exhibition is an engrossing journey through the history of mounted escort and convoy units that accompanied and guarded Russian tzars and emperors.

About 800 objects on display include uniforms, equipment, weapons and regalia of these elite guard formations, as well as paintings, engravings, photographs, historical documents and other artifacts from museums, archives and private collectors.
