Tsarskoe Selo offers special programmes for children in the rooms of Tsar Niaholas II and Tsarina Alexandra at the Alexander Palace.

Family Chat a Hundred Years Ago
For children aged 10+
Tickets: ₽ 500
Groups of minimum 15

After reading fragments of correspondence between Nicholas II's family members, we will try to understand their feelings for each other, as well as their joys and sorrows. Walking trough the former imperial rooms, which the Romanovs considered their home, browsing some historical documents and solving tasks, we will learn how Nicholas and Alexandra's children lived, how they were schooled, what their hobbies and favourite books were. And finally, writing with a pen and ink will help us see how that influences the content and style of our message.

Magic Lantern
For children aged 7+

Tickets: ₽ 500
Groups of minimum 15

Our museum worker dressed as the imperial children's nanny uses a "magic lantern" to start the game of sharing her stories about Grand duchesses Olga, Tatiana and Anastasia and Tsesarevich Alexei (Tsar Nicholas II's children). The lantern finally leads all to a special trunk with objects that help sum up what they learned about the Alexander Palace and its former occupants.
